University Advancement
Mission
University Advancement will position USC Upstate as a leading metropolitan university by securing private support, corporate and community investment, and public advocacy to attain the essential margin of quality necessary to close the gap between reality and its mission.
Purpose/Goal
Consistent with the vision of USC Upstate and its metropolitan mission, the Office of University Advancement will leverage the capacity of varied resources to provide for the institution's continued growth, projected as a function of program expansion and demographic change. University Advancement will establish public-private partnerships, commit to the achievements of the master plan by 2008, and secure the infrastructure and technology requirements of a world class institution.
University Advancement will address the priorities of USC Upstate through the successful development of relationships with individuals, alumni and corporate leaders and through partnerships with foundations, governmental agendas and corporate entities. The strategies employed by University Advancement will focus on growth and continuous improvement.
