The Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy, and American Studies, part of the College of Arts and Sciences, is one of USC Upstate's most diverse departments. The department offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and political science, along with minors in history, political science, philosophy, American studies and religion. The department also offers upper and lower-level courses in military science.
