The Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy, and American Studies (HPPA) introduced the new Pre-Law Minor in fall 2013. Pre-Law is a 22-hour interdisciplinary minor for students who are considering attending law school after graduation. Click here to view the curriculum. The Intro to Pre-Law course (PLAW 101) is a required course for the minor. The one-hour course introduces students to various aspects of the legal profession, including different types of law and information about applying to (and paying for) law school. Students will benefit from the expertise of guest speakers -- most of whom are lawyers in the Spartanburg community. For more information about the Pre-Law minor or the Intro to Pre-Law course, contact Dr. Allison Pingley at 864-503-5752 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
