The Department of Languages, Literature and Composition sponsors three annual literary magazines and an online, undergraduate journal.
Writer's Inc. contains literary and artistic selections by USC Upstate students. Anyone interested is invited to submit poetry, short stories, or drawings to the editorial staff for consideration. Contact: Dr. Marilyn Knight, 864-503-5836, HPAC 207
Maggie's Drawers is a literary magazine dedicated to presenting the work of young writers and artists from area middle schools and junior high schools throughout the Upstate area.
Our high school publication, A Near Miss, is dedicated entirely to the work of young writers and artists in area high schools. Maggie's Drawers and A Near Miss are edited and published by the Department of Languages, Literature, and Composition and are made possible by the generosity of the Carolina Piedmont Foundation.
English Literary File: An Online Journal of Academic Work by the Students of USC Upstate. Andy Lopez is the editor for 2009.
