Biography
Douglas A. Jackson is a native of Aurora, IL. He has taught Spanish at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina since 2006. He holds a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in Foreign Languages from Illinois State University. He has lead study abroad programs in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, and Spain. His university career spans 15 years, during which he has taught in numerous states. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of Italian, French and most recently Chinese. Douglas served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Cape Verde, Africa from 1994-1995.
