The University of South Carolina Upstate invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in computer science to begin August 16, 2013; candidates seeking higher ranks may also be considered. Areas of interest include networking and computer security, software engineering and database. Candidates must have a Ph.D., in computer science or a closely-related field by time of appointment, have good communication skills and relevant teaching experience, be capable of teaching core courses in an ABET-accredited CS program and demonstrate strong research potential.
Computer science faculty typically teach three courses per semester. Review of files begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
