Faculty Position

The University of South Carolina Upstate invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in computer science to begin August 16, 2013; candidates seeking higher ranks may also be considered. Areas of interest include networking and computer security, software engineering and database. Candidates must have a Ph.D., in computer science or a closely-related field by time of appointment, have good communication skills and relevant teaching experience, be capable of teaching core courses in an ABET-accredited CS program and demonstrate strong research potential.

Computer science faculty typically teach three courses per semester. Review of files begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled. USC Upstate (www.uscupstate.edu), a comprehensive public university, is located between Charlotte and Atlanta and has a current enrollment of more than 5,000 students.
