Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Management

The curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology Management is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).  The program builds on the technical foundation of an ABET accredited Engineering Technology Associate degree, which students can earn from Greenville, Spartanburg, Piedmont, Tri-County, York, or other technical colleges.

The ETM program is efficient, convenient, comprehensive, and strategic.

It is efficient because it enables Engineering Technology graduates to transfer not only general education classes, but also one year of technical coursework credits.

The ETM program is convenient because most of the courses are offered in the evening.  ETM courses that have a laboratory component are offered in a hybrid format, with online lectures and evening laboratory sessions.

The ETM program contains a comprehensive blend of ETM courses, economics courses, and a large number of business electives to build a layer of technical management knowledge and skills on the technical foundation developed at a technical college. Coursework includes project management, cost and work analysis, systems decision making, probability and statistics, and quality practices.

The ETM program is strategic because it will enable graduates to be an effective interface between technicians and upper managers.  It will open doors for advancement and give graduates the ability and confidence to step through those doors.

Because it is efficient, convenient, comprehensive, and strategic, the USC Upstate ETM program is an excellent choice for many engineering technology graduates.
