Psychology Peer Mentoring Program at USC Upstate
Objectives of the Peer Mentoring Program
The Psychology Peer Mentoring Program pairs first year students with upper-level Psychology students in an effort to help new students familiarize themselves with the Psychology Department and USC Upstate. Peer mentors review psych major requirements, offer advice in terms of scheduling classes, make new students aware of resources available on and off of campus, provide strategies on being successful in the college environment, and answer questions to make the transition into the USC Upstate community as smooth as possible.
The Psychology Peer Mentoring Program, in conjunction with the Psychology Club and Psi Chi, also sponsors various activities throughout the academic year that are open to all students interested in learning more about the field of Psychology.
