Anne Stokes has been with the College of Arts and Sciences (formerly School of Humanities & Sciences) since 1988; mainly with the Social Sciences Departments since 1992. She is presently the office manager for the Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice and Women’s Studies. She served on the College of Arts and Sciences’ Reorganization Committee as its sole staff representative and was past Chair of the USC Upstate Staff Council. Anne was named as “Employee of the Year” in 1997. She feels that her greatest accomplishment at Upstate was being named to “Doc’s List” in honor of the late Dr. Bryan “Doc” Lindsay, “preserving his memory through exemplary services to students”.
