The USC Upstate Pre-Occupational Therapy program is an advisement track within the exercise and sport science degree program. The only occupational therapy degree program in South Carolina is offered by the
Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). MUSC offers a 26-month curriculum leading to a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences: Occupational Therapy.
Occupational Therapy Program Admission:A bachelor’s degree and Graduate Record Exam (GRE) are required for admission to the Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences: Occupational Therapy at MUSC. Students entering the program are evaluated based on GRE scores, undergraduate academic performance and successful completion of prerequisite courses. A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA is required.MUSC also assigns credit for volunteer/work experience. In order to obtain credit, applicants must complete 30 hours in occupational therapy and obtain a confidential volunteer/work evaluation form documenting their service and performance.
