USC Upstate Greenville Campus provides a wide array of student services in the Administrative and Student Services Office (University Center Suite B1). Local staff provide direct services to students, and they coordinate individual student needs with service providers from main campus who visit Greenville routinely. Bookstore | Website The bookstore located in Room 137 on the Greenville Campus at the beginning and end of fall and spring semesters. Students may order their books online and have them shipped directly to their home. Free shipping is available for orders over $40.
Campus Recreation and Intramurals | Website
USC Upstate offers a full recreation program – from a long list of intramurals to various fitness programs – that is sure to fit even the busiest of college-student schedules. With the opening of the Wellness Center, USC Upstate expanded the facilities for use by students with an eight-lane pool, two gymnasiums, weight room, fitness studio, racquetball courts and indoor running/walking track. We also have outdoor recreation equipment available for rental. The Campus Recreation program is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles for the campus community by providing safe, enjoyable and educational activities for faculty, staff and students. A valid USC Upstate student ID is necessary for admission to the Wellness Center, league play and equipment rental.
Career Services | WebsiteCareer advising is provided by faculty in professional programs on the Greenville campus. Appointments can be made with career advisers on the Spartanburg campus.
Carolina Card | WebsiteGreenville students can upload their photo for the Carolina Card directly into Self-Service Carolina (SSC), the student portal for doing business with USC Upstate. Center for International Studies | WebsiteThe Center for International Studies (CIS) encourages all students on the Greenville campus to consider study abroad options for semester, summer and year-long programs. In addition, students who have a global perspective are invited to join the International Club and to participate in the “Upstate Global Ambassadors” program, which provides linkages with international students at USC Upstate. Counseling Services | Website Personal, career and group counseling, psychological testing and LD and ADHD testing is available at the Greenville campus on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. - noon. Contact Counseling Services at (864) 503-5195 to schedule an appointment.
Dean of Students | WebsiteThe Dean of Students for USC Upstate is on the Greenville campus for judicial hearings and other meetings as needed by students and faculty.
Disability Services | WebsiteThe Office of Disability Services works to ensure access for all USC Upstate students. Students on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus should contact the office at (864) 503-5199 to request a meeting with DS staff. Depending on the student's preference and staff member availability, staff may travel to the Greenville campus, may connect via webcam technology or may set up a phone appointment. Staff prefer to meet face-to-face with students accessing services at least once per academic year. Materials may be sent between the Spartanburg and Greenville campuses via a courier service three days per week, or documents may be scanned and sent via email. Students may contact staff in the Upstate Academic Affairs office on the Greenville Campus to access the courier service, for alternative testing accommodations, and other accommodations as determined by Disability Services.
Enrollment Services | WebsiteA transfer counselor from the Office of Admissions of USC Upstate is on the Greenville campus on Tuesdays of each week to meet with prospective transfer students about the admissions process. Prospective students may call (864) 552-4242 to make an appointment to meet with the transfer counselor.
Transfer Tuesdays are held on select Tuesdays from 4 until 6 p.m. to help students with the admission, financial aid and course planning process. Transfer orientation and registration sessions are offered each semester, during which new students on the Greenville campus have Carolina Cards made, meet with advisers and register for classes. Advisers for the professional programs in Business, Education and Nursing are available on the Greenville campus. Advisers for programs such as interdisciplinary studies, engineering technology management, communications and information management and systems are on campus to meet with students by appointment.
Financial Aid | WebsiteThe Office of Financial Aid schedules a financial aid counselor to be on the USC Upstate Greenville Campus routinely. On site staff members are always willing to facilitate problem-solving for Greenville students. Health Services | WebsiteHealth Services provides the opportunity for students to get flu shots on the Greenville campus.
Information Technology Services | WebsiteThe ITS Helpdesk in Greenville assists faculty, staff and students in accessing technology. Library | WebsiteThe USC Upstate Library maintains both a physical and electronic presence at the USC Upstate Greenville Campus. The physical library provides individual and group study areas. There are virtual computers with GreenSky access for USC Upstate students. USC Upstate library faculty are physically present at the Library on a regular schedule to help students develop research skills using the more than 200 databases available online and to teach information literacy to students enrolled in classes at Greenville. The library faculty also maintain virtual office hours when they are not on the Greenville campus. The virtual office hours offer communication via telephone, e-mail, chat, text and Adobe Connect.
Parking | WebsiteNo parking permits are required for
USC Upstate Greenville Campus. Staff and students who will visit or attend
classes on main campus in Spartanburg must have a parking decal. Parking decals are available in
the USC Upstate Greenville Campus Administration and Student Support Services
suite. Be prepared to show your
registration, your proof of car insurance and either your Carolina Card or your
driver’s license. This information along
with the parking decal you are issued is scanned to the University Police in
Spartanburg to be kept on file.
SNAC Pantry | WebsiteA SNAC (Spartan Nutritional Assistance Campaign) Food Pantry on the Greenville campus provides food, nutritional information and other basic necessities to USC Upstate Greenville campus students in need. The pantry is located in the kitchen near the back parking lot entrance (behind the USC Upstate offices).
Student Government Association | WebsiteSGA senators are appointed to represent the Greenville campus. SGA Officers meet monthly in Greenville with student senators to discuss issues and initiatives.
Student Activities | WebsiteActivities for students include Welcome Back events in fall and spring, Fall Festival, Spring Game Night, Exam Study Breakers, Breakfast with the Chancellor, Graduation Fair, and more. Students are notified of events and how to sign up to participate in them by email. Writing Workshops | Website Students in Greenville are provided a series of writing workshops funded by the College of Arts and Sciences. These workshops are offered in classes in Greenville, videotaped and provided online on the Greenville website for students to view at any time.
