Mu Rho Chapter
Welcome to the Mu Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Mu Rho Chapter was chartered at the University of South Carolina Upstate, Sunday, March 8, 1992. The Mu Rho Chapter is a member of Region 7 of Sigma Theta Tau International.
STT is a 79-year old honor society with more than a quarter-million inducted members. Its mission is to improve the health of people worldwide by improving nursing scholarship. Members include practicing nurses, faculty, researchers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and others.
The purposes of Sigma Theta Tau International are to:
- Recognize superior achievement.
- Recognize the development of leadership qualities.
- Foster high professional standards.
- Encourage creative work.
- Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession.
