He teaches genetics, animal behavior, and developmental biology. Dr. Labanick’s past research interests focused on southern Appalachian salamanders, especially mimicry, resulting in published articles on genetics, behavior, taxonomy, and ecology of salamanders.
Laura Hooks
Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education
Ph.D., University of South Carolina
Dr. Hooks teaches educational foundations and early childhood education. Her research interests include parent involvement, the inclusion of children with special needs within classrooms serving typical learners, program quality and the use of professional development schools in teacher education programs.
