Matthew Van Patton, '96
Matthew Van Patton was born and raised in Greer, S.C. and he makes his home there today.
Since 2005 he has been president and managing partner of a government relations firm called Palmetto Public Affairs, Inc. where he works with three partners. The company does lobbying work, but also specializes in organizational development, grant writing, and economic development. Read more

Medallions, Madras, and Music at USC Upstate
The USC Upstate Alumni Association will host an entertaining event for the entire community on the afternoon of Saturday, October 11. Bring your lawn chairs and join us from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the Upper Quad (directly behind the Administration Building) for family fun and a special performance by the Swingin’ Medallions. Food and beverages will be available for purchase (remember to bring your I.D. if you’re 21+). Admission is free to everyone. Read more
Alumni Association Presents Upstate Shoot for Scholarships
Join the USC Upstate Alumni Association at the Spartanburg Gun Club on Friday, October 10 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. for a Clay Target Challenge. Entry fee is $100 per shooter and shells will be provided.
All money raised will support the USC Upstate Alumni Scholarship Fund.
