Alumni Association Scholarship
The USC Upstate Alumni Association Board of Directors initiated a scholarship program honoring rising USC Upstate seniors. The scholarship is a perfect incentive for motivating the student body to aim towards excellence throughout their entire academic career at USC Upstate.
The following criteria must be met to receive an Alumni Association Scholarship:
- The student must be a child of a USC Upstate graduate
- The student must be a rising senior
- The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- The student must be a resident of South Carolina
2007-2008 Alumni Scholarship Awarded
The USC Upstate Alumni Association is proud to award the 2007-2008 Alumni Scholarship to Sandy Gahagan Blackwell (left) in the Mary Black School of Nursing. She is pictured here with Shane Rogers, president of the alumni board of directors, and Marsha Dowell, dean of the Mary Black School of Nursing. Sandy is the daughter of Jo Ann Simmons, 1981 ADN graduate. The scholarship is awarded to a child of a USC Upstate graduate, rising senior, with a 3.0 GPA. Congratulations Sandy!
