Stephanie Nicole Richardson was born and raised in Seneca, South Carolina and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2004, Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Education from USC Upstate.
While attending USC Upstate she was a member of Opportunity Network, SGA Criminal Justice Representative, Gospel Choir, and was a Mentor for the Gear Up program. "
"The person that I look up to is Ina Minsky in Opportunity Network. Ina was my mentor. I loved her. We would talk about school and my future. I was so blessed to be a part of Opportunity Network. I received tutoring and greatly enjoyed trips to places like Florida and New Orleans" explained Stephanie.
Stephanie worked for the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School System for over six years. In 2005, when she began with the school system she had a vision to reach out to children, particularly those who are at-risk, low- income to show them an alternate way of living and loving their lives. Last December, that dream became a reality when Stephanie founded the Steppers Enrichment Program.
The Steppers Enrichment Program Inc. is a non-profit organization, reaching into the hearts of communities to empower schools, students, and families. S.T.E.P.P.E.R.S. (Striving To Encourage, Protect, Providing Educational Resources to Students) is dedicated to encouraging students to develop as young leaders by excelling and succeeding in today's society.
