Arbor Day
The University of South Carolina Upstate hosts an annual Arbor Day Celebration the first Friday in December, which is South Carolina Arbor Day.

- 11 a.m., Humanities and Performing Arts Center Theatre - Presentation from Guest Speaker Tracy DiSabato-Aust
- 12:30 p.m., Sansbury Campus Life Center Ballroom - Lunch, Q&A, Book Signing and Door Prizes
- If you purchase your Arbor Day 2012 tickets the week of the event (December 3-7), pick up your tickets at the Box Office in the Humanities and Performing Arts Center on USC Upstate's campus.
Guest Speaker
The Well-Designed Mixed Garden is the presentation topic of our 2012 featured speaker, Tracy DiSabato-Aust of Horticulture Classics & Consultations. She has earned international acclaim as one of America’s most entertaining and knowledgeable garden writers and professional speakers. Her experience includes stints at Longwood Gardens in the U.S., The Montreal Botanical Garden in Canada, the Kalmthout Arboretum in Belgium, and Knightshayes Court in England. She earned a B.S. and M.S. in horticulture from The Ohio State University. DiSabato-Aust is a frequent guest on national garden television and radio gardening shows and has contributed articles or been featured in numerous national and international magazines, books, and newspapers.
