2014 marked the 11th anniversary of the University of South Carolina Upstate's Arbor Day Celebration, which is held annually on South Carolina Arbor Day, the first Friday in December.
Arbor Day was held Friday, December 5, 2014.
This year, we were thrilled to have TWO speakers: the Dynamic Duo, Ted and Gerald Stephens from Nurseries Caroliniana. We were able to “Celebrate the Carolinas” with the Stephens brothers as they shared their knowledge of noble trees and landscape design.
The noble tree of the year,
Espresso® Kentucky Coffee Tree[FK1] , selected by Roebuck Wholesale Nursery, was dedicated in four Spartanburg City parks the morning of Arbor Day festivities. Presentations and a luncheon followed on the USC Upstate campus.
