Campus recreation programs offer camaraderie, stress relief, and fun!

Campus Recreation
College can sometimes be very stressful…exams, papers, presentations, internships and quizzes can turn you into a walking ball of tension. To help you relieve some of that tension, stay healthy, and enjoy your college years, USC Upstate offers a full campus recreation program. From our long list of intramurals to our various fitness programs, there is something that fits your schedule, no matter how full it may be.

The campus recreation facilities are located on the first floor of the Hodge building, and the business office is in University Commons, Campus Rec. Building.

Aerobics: You can take aerobics classes, which are taught by a trained professional twice a week. These programs are free for all students, but you have to get there early as they are very popular.

Gym: Participate in open gym time in the auxiliary gym, which is located in Hodge, to play a pick-up game of basketball, volleyball or whatever sport you enjoy.

Intramurals: Join an intramural sport, like basketball, flag football, softball, soccer, bowling, badminton, running, or tennis, just to name a few. Check out the intramural schedule in the Campus Life Center and Hodge to get the sign up deadlines.

Weight Room: Lift weights in the weight room, which has a number of cardiovascular machines, free weights, and Nautilus equipment. Make sure you have your student ID to gain access to this Hodge facility.

How Do I Get Involved?
To get involved in any of these programs, you just need to come by Hodge and bring your student ID. We will get you the proper paperwork and take care of all your questions.

Information concerning campus recreation is posted on various bulletin boards around campus. Basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, raquetball rackets and other recreational equipment is available for student use in room 220 of the Hodge Building.
