Lost and Found

From time to time, members of the University community may find or lose articles of personal property on campus. To help facilitate the return of these articles to their rightful owners, the University Police Department has established a Lost and Found. While not the sole repository for lost and found items on campus, it does serve as the central repository for such items.

The Lost and Found is located in the University Police Department at The Villas, Building # 1. To inquire about a lost or found item, e-mail the Police Department at lostandfound@uscupstate.edu.

To turn in a found article, bring it by the front desk of the Police Department Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. It is not recommended that found items be sent to the Police Department through the University mail system.

When contacting University Police regarding a lost or found item, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Your name, phone number and location
  • Where the item was found or lost, if known
  • When the item was lost or found
  • The value of the lost article, if known
  • A description of the item, including any distinguishing characteristics
