CarolinaCard balances roll forward from one year to the next until you graduate or withdraw from the University. (Upstate Dining meal plans, “Bonus Bucks” DO NOT roll forward.) For more information on dining, please visit USC Upstate Dining.
Requests for refunds from your CarolinaCard are only granted for graduation, withdrawal from the University or at the end of a semester. Requests for refunds can be made by completing the request for refund form on the Carolina Card Web site.
All refunds from the CarolinaCard office must be made within 90 days of graduation, end of semester, or withdrawal. For students actively enrolled, refunds will be handled 30 days prior to the end of the semester and a $20 processing fee will be charged with the exception of graduation. The refund check will be mailed to the student’s permanent address. No refunds are issued for account balances of $25 or less.
What about Lost or Stolen Cards?
Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately. You can report a lost or stolen card by going to the University VIP website under the CarolinaCard options tab. Once the CarolinaCard office is notified, there will be a block placed on your CarolinaCard to prevent usage. Replacement cards are $25. Stolen cards are replaced free when accompanied by a corresponding police report. Once a replacement card is made, the $25 ID charge cannot be refunded if the old card is found.
