In addition, Cheyenne Griffin (Moore, S.C.) was named the A-Sun Most Valuable Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Meredith Barnes (Salem, Ore.), Shellie Robinson (DeLand, Fla.) and Jamie Ujvari (Niceville, Fla.).
USC Upstate to host book signing and reception for noted financial columnist Neil Irwin, May 13
A Spartanburg native, Irwin is a Washington Post columnist and the economics editor of Wonkblog, The Post’s site for policy news and analysis. He is the author of “The Alchemists: Three Central Bankers and a World on Fire” a book about the efforts of the world’s central banks to combat the financial crisis and its aftermath.
Farnsworth and Johnson use past experiences to prepare for doctoral programs in chemistry and biology
Tyler Farnsworth, a chemistry major, and Joshua Johnson, a biology major, will be graduating from USC Upstate today with plans to pursue their Ph.D.s at UNC Chapel Hill and University of California Berkeley, respectively.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With its postseason hopes slipping away by the day, the USC Upstate baseball team fell behind early and never recovered Friday evening, falling 6-2 to the University of North Florida in game two of a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference series at Harley Park.
Western Kentucky Upends Upstate in Tuscaloosa Regional
Tuscaloosa, Ala. – Western Kentucky starting pitcher Emily Rousseau limited Upstate to just two hits en route to leading the Lady Toppers to a 3-0 victory over USC Upstate in the opening game of the Tuscaloosa Regional.

Thursday Afternoon Acting Group To Perform “Totally Red,” May 11
“Totally Red” is the standard story about Little Red Riding Hood, who meets the Big Bad Wolf on her way to bring Grandma some goodies. This is a humorous version of the story told in melodrama, Elizabethan, hip hop and avant-garde style.
Outreach initiative exposes thousands of youth to the world of drama and theatre
Aspiring young actors and actresses at USC Upstate will present the popular children’s story of "Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type" on April 20 at 11 a.m. in the Studio Theatre.
