Sparty Tours the Carolinas
The Family Fund is an annual giving campaign that offers USC Upstate faculty, staff, and retirees the opportunity to make personal gifts to the University that will have a direct impact on the campus, our students and employees. Gifts can be made by using our pledge form or by donating online.
These gifts strengthen our future by funding scholarships, making capital improvements and supporting the mission of the University, which is teaching, research and service. Every contribution, no matter what size, adds value and strength to the USC Upstate campus and enables us to better serve our students!
This year’s theme, “Sparty Tours the Carolinas,” will offer
weekend get-aways to exciting cities within our area: Greenville, Columbia,
Hilton Head, Asheville, Charlotte, and Charleston. Drawings will be held every
other month starting in September with the GRAND PRIZE being drawn at May Day
Picnic in May 2012. The 2011 Family Fund
Campaign begins on August 17, 2011 and continues through June 30, 2012.
Gifts of all amounts are welcome and appreciated. However, a
gift or pledge of at least $25 is required to be eligible for the prize
drawings. Be sure to check The Newsroom for dates and information.
USC Upstate has approximately 489 temporary, full- and part-time
faculty and staff members. Between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011, 124 donors contributed
more than $155,000. This is a participation rate of 26%. With the current economic forecast, this year’s goal is
$100,000 with a 35% participation rate. With your help we can do it! Participation is key to our success.
