Family Fund Campaign - FAQs
What is the Family Fund?
The Family Fund is a division of University Advancement that provides the USC Upstate faculty, staff and retirees the opportunity to show their pride in the University. You and your colleagues are encouraged to make an annual contribution to the department, college, scholarship or area of your choice. You’re helping to ensure the success of each and every USC Upstate student.
I already work here so why should I give?
Because we’re involved with the University on a daily basis, we know the current needs of the University better than anyone. Many of USC Upstate’s needs are not obvious to anyone outside the University community. We’re here because of every student and our support paves the way for many of them to succeed.
When is my gift due?
There is no set due date. Gifts are accepted year-round.
May I designate my gift to any USC Upstate area on campus?
Absolutely. Simply complete your Family Fund pledge card indicating the account name where you would like your gift designated. Your gift may be designated to more than one area or as an “unrestricted” gift.
What are my payment options?
Choose the most convenient way for you: Payroll deduction, credit card, check, or a pledge for which you will be invoiced. (Please note that all payments for the Family Fund are made out to the USC Upstate Foundation.)
What is the Carolina Piedmont Foundation?
The USC Upstate Foundation was formed to promote a foundation to generate and accept private gifts for the exclusive use of the University of South Carolina Upstate.
Is there a goal?
Our goal is to raise $100,000 this year to benefit students and the academic programs through the Family Fund. This goal is totaled by the response to the Family Fund pledge card.
