Master's Degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education

The University of South Carolina Upstate offers Graduate Programs in Education for teachers who are already certified.  These programs are designed to assist early childhood and elementary education professionals in advancing their careers and broadening their base of knowledge.  Through participation in the Graduate Programs you will learn ways to improve classroom practice, apply research to your teaching, and enhance your students’ learning, in addition to increasing your marketability and salary expectationsEarly Childhood Photo 1.

 

The School of Education carries full accreditation from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.  USC Upstate offers professional development courses for recertification, 15-hour post-baccalaureate ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Program, and special topic contract courses for school districts. 

Our faculty members are leaders in their field, currently engaged in numerous research projects, furthering their knowledge on teaching and learning. Many have published books and articles that are widely read across the country. 

The Graduate Programs Office aims to serve the in-service teacher, offering courses to fit your busy schedule.  Our fast-track schedule for early childhood and elementary master’s degrees programs utilize alternative delivery methods and compressed schedules, which allow completion of a master’s degree in 18 months.
