USC Upstate Web Registration
A Guide to Services Available at USC Upstate Library

In the Library
- Go to USC Upstate Library Home Page
- Click "Students: Online Course Registration, Grades, Tuition and Financial Aid Information, and Fee Payment" from the bottom of the page
Other Campus Computers
- Go to USC Upstate Home Page
- Click "Students: Click below for Online Course Registration, Grades, Tuition and Financial Aid Information, and Fee Payment. vip.sc.edu" from the bottom of the page
Now you are at VIP - Visual Information Processing
- Click on login
- Type in Social Security Number & Type in Pin Number
- Click Login
- *optional – check box: display my name on pages
To REGISTER
- Click on ACADEMICS from main menu across the top of the page
- Click on "Show Me" Course Registration for
[use pull down menu to pick the Semester] [use pull down menu to pick the Year]
To ADD Classes
- Type in the 6 digit sequence code
- Click GO (if that course is full it will suggest up to three alternative sections if there are openings)
NOTE: If you don’t know the 6 digit sequence code click the master schedule link, chose the term and the Upstate Campus, then chose the department and a list of classes will show what is open including the 6 digit sequence code.
To DROP Classes
- Go to the Action Box next to the Course Number
- Click GO (a fail safe will ask you if you really want to drop)
To CHANGE SECTIONS
- Click the Action Box
- Enter the 6 digit number of the new section (it will not drop the old section unless there is a place
PRINTING A SCHEDULE
- Return to the ACADEMICS menu
- Click on "Show Me" Schedule for
[use pull down menu to pick the Semester] [use pull down menu to pick the Year]
- Print a copy of your schedule
REMEMBER TO LOGOUT WHEN YOU ARE DONE
