The University of South Carolina Upstate, a member of NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference, is seeking candidates for the position of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Volunteer Coach for Throws.The University of South Carolina Upstate, a member of NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference, is seeking candidates for the position of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Volunteer Coach for Throws.The Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Volunteer Coach for Throws serves the men’s and women’s track and field programs by assisting the Head Coach of Track and Field and Cross Country with duties related to throwers and the throwing events to include but are not limited to recruiting, training, practice, team travel, and administrative duties.This is a volunteer position with a desired start date of August 20, 2012. The successful applicant must have a bachelor’s degree and experience as a throws student-athlete or throws coach. Preferred experience includes collegiate coaching in the area of throws, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, exceptional interpersonal skills, computer skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. A successful background check and proof of valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
