One-Time Hiring Information
Students can be paid by the job/task completed. Examples of one-time student pay: van driver for a particular event, creating a poster, line judge for one volleyball game, etc. Paying a student on a “pay by the job option” is not available for students who work in a department on an on-going basis. These students are required to complete a time card.
If you wish to delay submission of this one-time hiring form until after the task is completed due to an uncertain final dollar amount to be paid, the student employee is still required by Federal law to complete the I-9 form in Human Resources before the first day of work/service.
