Crime Analysis at USC Upstate

You can earn your degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Analysis and be prepared to enter the profession with a powerful set of tools and strategies for collecting and using data to identify crime patterns and inform policing decisions. Graduates, like you, go on to become crime analysts who support public safety and help enhance the effectiveness of their agencies.

As a student in the Criminal Justice program, you’ll enjoy a well-rounded experience that will empower you with critical thinking, communication, writing, and analytical skills along with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on training in the core principles related to crime and criminal justice, including the study of crime, courts, policing, corrections, offenders and victims. You’ll also specialize your studies with coursework in crime analysis, which combines data science with policing knowledge to solve problems in communities.

All courses are delivered in a 7.5-week, fully online format, with access to in-person and online support from faculty instructors, library support staff, and other services both in Spartanburg and in Greenville at the University Center of Greenville (UCG). Courses are taken in order; the full course sequence may be completed in one academic year.
