Criminal Justice Majors Receive Scholarships from ASIS

Spartanburg, S.C. - The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) – Chapter 97 recently presented two University of South Carolina Upstate students with scholarship money from funds raised in a golf tournament. The two students, Jessica L. Shelton and Kyle L. Osinga, were selected on their GPA in the criminal justice major. They each received $500.

Jessica L. Shelton is from Campobello, S.C. and she transferred to USC Upstate from Spartanburg Community College. She currently has a 3.33 GPA and plans to graduate in May 2010.

Kyle L. Osinga lives in Boiling Springs, S.C. and transferred to USC Upstate from Palm Beach College. He has a 3.235 GPA and plans to graduate in May 2010.

The scholarships were presented by Dan Collins, a 2003 USC Upstate graduate who is the director of Corporate Security for Fluor Corporation in Greenville, and a member of ASIS.
