USC Upstate Presents Second Annual Upstate Rotary Peace Symposium

Upstate Rotary Clubs and local universities have joined to present a full day dedicated to issues related to conflict resolution, water and its relation to real estate and economic survival, as well as political conflicts integrated into the Second Upstate Rotary World Peace Symposium.

The symposium will take place at the University of South Carolina Upstate on Thursday, April 16, beginning at 10 a.m. in the University Readiness Center, room 410.

The symposium schedule is as follows:
10:00 Opening Ceremony
10:30 “Activism at Any Age” with Paige Hunter of Converse College
11:30 Borders in Conflict
12:30 Water Issues: a luncheon discussion (Box lunches may be purchased for $5 students, $10 for others. Make your reservations via e-mail)

 4:45 Re-Dedication of Upstate Rotary International Peace Park on Campus
 5:30 Spartanburg Chamber Business After Hours at USC Upstate’s Health Education Complex
