Two Faculty Members Are Part Of New Story Collection

Spartanburg, S.C. - Two English faculty members at the University of South Carolina Upstate have works featured in a new short story collection from the Hub City Writers Project, Expecting Goodness & Other Stories. Expecting GoodnessDr. Thomas McConnell and Dr. Marilyn Knight, both of whom are associate professors of English, will be on hand for a reading and signing Monday, January 18, at 7 p.m. in the Showroom at HUB-BUB.  The event is free and open to the public.

The collection also features the work of 20 Spartanburg fiction writers, including a story by Dr. Knight’s daughter, Molly. Expecting Goodness is edited by C. Michael Curtis, long-time fiction editor of The Atlantic magazine and professor of creative writing at Wofford College.
