Upward Bound Program College Financial Aid Workshop

Spartanburg, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Upstate Upward Bound Program and other local colleges will offer a financial aid workshop Saturday, February 27. The “College Goal Sunday” workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at USC Upstate’s Health Education Complex in rooms 2001 and 2009. The event is free and open to the public.

The workshop is designed to provide financial-aid information and assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Financial aid experts and other volunteers will help parents and students with financial aid paperwork for any college or university and provide information about financial- aid options and eligibility for grants and scholarships. Participants must bring 2009 income- tax returns.        

“College Goal Sunday” is a volunteer effort by the University of South Carolina Upstate Upward Bound Program, the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, the South Carolina Commission of Higher Education and the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation.
