Chadrick Robinson Receives CommunitySouth Bank & Trust Scholarship

Chadrick Robinson2Spartanburg, S.C. - Spartanburg, S.C. – Chadrick Lynn Robinson, a 20-year-old junior majoring in business management at the University of South Carolina Upstate, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship towards his education by CommunitySouth Bank & Trust on Wednesday, August 30.

The president of CommunitySouth, David Miller, came to USC Upstate to present the check to the Union, S.C. native. Dr. Darrell Parker, dean of the School of Business Administrationand Economics at USC Upstate, also congratulated him on being selected for the scholarship.

“I have always wanted to open my own business,” says Robinson, who obtained his cosmetology license when he was 17 and plans to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps by opening a barbershop when he graduates. He is considering Atlanta as a possible location for his business, and he frequently attends trade shows and seminars in the cosmetology field.

The CommunitySouth Bank & Trust Scholarship is awarded annually to a rising junior, majoring in business, with 60 hours of earned credit with a 3.0 GPA. The candidate must also demonstrate financial need. The scholarship was created by Miller who is a 1989 graduate of USC Upstate.
