Residence Hall Association Executive Board Positions

RHA President: Presides over all Executive Board meetings. Act as the official voice and liaison for RHA. Delegate responsibilities to the other officers as needed. Advocates for residents’ needs and builds community through programming.

RHA Vice President: Assists the President. Serve as the Chair for RHA general meetings. Preside over Executive Board meetings in the absence of the President.  

Treasurer: Oversee the preparation and the expenditures of the annual RHA budget with the President and Advisor. Keep an accurate and current record of all RHA finances. Advise RHA on any spending and allocation of funds. Facilitate and administer all fundraising ideas to benefit RHA.

Secretary: Records and presents the minutes at all Executive Board and RHA general meetings. Submit record of minutes to RHA President and Advisor. Organized RHA files to maintain an accurate history of the organization.

Marketing Chair: In charge of RHA publications and promotional items. Helps advisor maintain RHA website. Promote meetings and events. Oversee and maintain the RHA bulletin board. Utilize social Media to engage residents about RHA. 

Programming Chair: Oversee, facilitate and publicize large scale programs presented by RHA. This person will serve as Chair of the RHA Programming Committee and work with the residential community to coordinate RHA sponsored events and program dates. Will also oversee doing collaborative programming initiatives with other on campus departments and community partners.

National Communications Coordinator (NCC): Serve as liaison and communicate with state, regional, and national organizations. Keep RHA and the Executive Board informed of all necessary information from SCORE, SAACURH, and NACURH. Represent USC Upstate at all conferences. Fulfill any and all requirements for maintaining RHA’s affiliation with NACURH and SAACURH.
