Below is a list of the Spartanburg Writing Project's annual events. For specific information on each event, click one of the links to the left.

  • October 25, 2007: Writing Workshop Support Group
    4:30-6:00pm
    USC Upstate, University Readiness Center
    Free to all teachers, this group will meet the last Thursday of each month.
  • October 27, 2007: Pamper Your Inner Poet: Memoir Writing
    “Scraps of Life in Snippets and Slices”
    9:00am-12:00 noon
    USC Upstate, Campus Life Center
    Free for teachers, $10 for students grades 3-12
  • November 2007: Spring Courses
    SWP plans to offer two professional development courses for graduate and/or recertification credit during spring 2008.  Look for details and registration forms coming to your school in November.
  • December 2007: 2008 Summer Institute in Teaching Writing
    June 4-30, 2008
    Applications will be distributed in December. Please check with your administration if you are interested in applying for this incredible learning experience.
  • March 13, 2008: Spring Connections Conference
    3:00-7:00pm
    USC Upstate, University Readiness Center
  • June 9-20, 2008: 2008 Spartanburg Junior Writing Project: “Bursting Out of the Bloom: Word Wanderings”
    Open to students in grades 3-12
