Wellness Center Membership

Student Memberships
Most students taking one or more semester hours automatically become Wellness Center Members when they register and pay their fees.

Non-Student Memberships
The following individuals are eligible to purchase Wellness Center Memberships:

  • Current faculty / staff members of USC Upstate
  • Retired faculty / staff members of USC Upstate
  • Spouses of current students, faculty / staff members, or retired faculty / staff members
  • Adult dependents (age 18-25) of current students, faculty / staff members, or retired faculty / staff members
  • Dependent children (age 3-17) of current students, faculty / staff members, or retired faculty / staff members (with some restrictions)

Memberships include access to Wellness Center facilities.

Membership prices are:

  • $25 monthly for faculty / staff members
  • $30 monthly for alumni
  • $40 monthly for faculty / staff member with one dependent
  • $45 monthly for alumni with one dependent
  • $25 monthly for a student spouse
  • $60 monthly for a family membership

Dependent Memberships

  1. Wellness Center Member dependents must register at the front desk and be registered on the membership card of their sponsor.
  2. All non-registered dependents or other children who are guests must purchase the current guest pass $5 per day if sponsored by an adult Wellness Center Member.
  3. Children age 2 and under may enter the Wellness Center at no charge, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Guest Policy
Guests of the Wellness Center must be sponsored by a valid USC Upstate student or faculty/staff member.

  • Alumni, spouse members, and individuals with family memberships may not sponsor guests.
  • Sponsors must surrender their USC Upstate ID.
  • Guests must be 18 years of age or older and surrender a photo ID card with date of birth, complete a guest registration form, complete a waiver, and pay the guest fee ($5). Both the sponsor and guests’ ID cards will be held at the front desk during the entire visit.
  • Sponsors must accompany guests during their entire visit. When the sponsor has concluded his/her use of the facility and departs, their guest must also depart.
  • Sponsors are responsible for their guests’ action during their visit to the Wellness Center.
  • Sponsors are limited to two guests per day.
  • Guests may not participate in intramurals, group exercise classes, sport clubs or outdoor recreation programs.
  • Guests may not check out equipment. The sponsor may checkout equipment for their guests by using a copy of the guest registration form.
  • Guest registration forms/fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Soliciting patrons to gain access into the Wellness Center is prohibited. 
  • The Office of Campus Recreation reserves the right to terminate guest privileges for failure to abide by set policies/procedures or misuse of facilities/equipment. 
  • The maximum number of guest passes one may sponsor is five.

Mon, Wed, Fri: Closed 9 a.m. - noon
Tues & Thurs: Open at 10:40 a.m.
