Permanent Collection
Andy Warhol CollectionThe Andy Warhol Foundation donated 152 photographs by Andy Warhol to the USC Upstate Art Gallery in 2008 as part of the Photographic Legacy Program, which makes substantial gifts of Warhol’s photographic works to colleges and universities across the United States, allowing greater access to this relatively unknown body of work. In 2013, the Foundation gifted an additional five silk screens to USC Upstate. See the Andy Warhol catalogue: The Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Project |
Outdoor Sculpture CollectionTake an Audio Tour of the Outdoor Sculpture Collection This audio tour of outdoor sculptures at USC Upstate was created by students in Dr. Lex Lancaster's 20th Century Art class, Fall 2019. Students used their knowledge of art history to write and record audio guides for ten sculptures on campus. Visitors can scan the QR codes on the labels attached to these sculptures to hear or read the student's interpretation. The PDF Sculpture Map This permanent collection was facilitated by the former Gallery Director, Jane Nodine, who established and cultivated the art galleries at USC Upstate from 1994-2020. |
The USC Upstate Art Gallery is just getting started! You can support our exhibitions and programs by making a donation. We use these funds to maintain our space at the Chapman Cultural Center, and to compensate visiting artists and gallery personnel. Even small amounts make a difference. Thank you for supporting the arts at USC Upstate. |
