Ashley Kreiner

Mass Communications Major

"I'm most proud of the people I've met and seeing how motivated they are to do the things they want to do, and realizing that I not only want to be those people but that now compared to my Freshman year I've become one of those people."

Ashley Kreiner graduated from USC Upstate in December with honors and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies. As a student, Kreiner served as editor of the student newspaper The Carolinian and was the university’s first Communications major to conduct research among patients in the wards at Spartanburg Medical Center, which is part of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. She spent the fall 2018 semester surveying chronically ill patients about their perceptions of hope, care and resilience. Kreiner hopes to continue to use her communications skills to help people who struggle with physical and mental illness.
