If you prefer to give with a check delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, your gift must be postmarked by midnight on Dec. 31, for it to qualify as a gift for this tax year.

Making a Gift of Stock and Appreciated Securities

If you'd like to make a donation of stock and appreciated securities, please instruct your broker to provide the following information along with your donation:

  • Your name
  • Name of your brokerage firm
  • Name of stock and number of shares being donated
  • Name of project the gift is designated for and the fund number the stock should be credited to
  • Your broker can electronically transfer securities from your brokerage account to one of the USC Foundations brokerage account:
