Achieve
The ACHIEVE (Academic Challenges Helping Individuals Expand Values and Education) Program is administered by the University of South Carolina Upstate. ACHIEVE is an educational and employment program that serves high school dropouts and graduates who are unemployed or underemployed (ages 16* – 24) from Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union counties.
The ACHIEVE Program works with these out-of-school youth by helping them work toward completing their education, finding employment and enhancing their self-esteem in order for them to become productive citizens.
Charles Lea Educational Enrichment Program
The Charles Lea Educational Enrichment Program is a partnership between the Charles Lea Center and the College of Education, Human Performance, and Health. This program offers adults with disabilities and special needs an opportunity to come to the University to take classes designed specifically for their needs.

A partnership between the Charles Lea Center and the College of Education
The Charles Lea Educational Enrichment Program is a partnership between the Charles Lea Center and the College of Education. This program offers adults with disabilities and special needs an opportunity to come to the University to take classes designed specifically for their needs. The program meets on Wednesday nights and offers ten classes. Participants are awarded certificates as they complete their coursework. Students from the College of Education provide assistance in classes and are given a valuable clinical experience.

Scholars Academy
The Scholars Academy provides advanced learners with a quality education in a supportive learning environment. Through a partnership between Spartanburg County Schools and USC Upstate, the program allows students to take college courses and advanced high school classes over four years while still participating in classes and extracurricular activities at their own schools.
Student Teaching in Germany
USC Upstate offers students World Languages Classes each Spring, students who are interested in Student Teaching in Germany in Stendal, Germany will attend six weeks of class from mid-February to the end of March.
