Biography:

Jimm Cox, Director of Theatre and Director of the Foreign Study London program, has been at the University of South Carolina for over thirty-five years. He began his professional acting career playing opposite Annie Potts of “Designing Women” fame in a summer stock production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Jimm has written, directed and produced industrial shows for a variety of corporations and wrote and produced the opening ceremonies for The World Goal Ball Championships and the Pan American Games for the Visually Impaired. He has both taught for the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts Academy Program and served as artistic director the Governor’s School at Furman University. Jimm has been named the University of South Carolina Upstate Teacher and Advisor of the Year and is a member of Who’s Who in American University Teaching. He has directed well over 100 productions for academic, community and professional theatres.
