The city of Nairobi is both the capital of Kenya and its largest city. Beyond the Kenyan borders, the city is a major hub for all of Africa with over 100 major international companies and organizations having offices within its limits. Even the United Nations has its Africa and Middle East headquarters in the city. Two nicknames have been given to Nairobi including "The Green City in the Sun" and "Safari Capital of the World," which pays homage to the large amount of safari tourism that happens each year.
