Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal

Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences is a multi-campus German institute for higher education located on the Elbe River. The main campus is located in the city of Magdeburg, called the Herrenkrug campus, with roughly 4,500 students and 5 departments. Stendal is home to 2 departments and roughly 1,900 students.The cities are located 63 kilometers (39 miles) apart and are easily traveled between by a direct train.

Considered to be one of the most important cities of medieval Europe, Magdeburg is the capital city of the Saxony-Anhalt state of Germany. With a population of around 230,000, the city has become a trading center because of it's production of chemicals, steel, paper and textiles. The city of Stendal is smaller with a population of around 40,000, but it is still home to a number of magnificent churches, a beautiful city hall and medieval city gates.
