Kingston University

Founded as Kingston Technical College in 1899, the institute gained university status in 1992 and became Kingston University. There are four campuses that comprise the university: Penrhyn Road, Kingston Hill, Knights Park, and Roehampton Vale. The campuses are linked by a free bus service. Much like New York City has its boroughs, Greater London has its own as well. Kingston upon Thames, where the university is located, is in the southwest of London and is a 25 minute train ride from the center of the city. Over 21,000 students attend the university with almost 4,000 of those representing over 150 countries outside of the United Kingdom.
