Dr. Jack Cheng
Dr. Cheng received his doctorate in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research interests include macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy. He has published papers on the nonlinear effects of mortgage spreads over the business cycle, optimal monetary policy rules for emerging economies and the effect of exchange rate pass-through on fiscal policy. His recent work focuses on understanding the impact of economic uncertainty on the macroeconomy. His research has been featured in New York Times, Bloomberg and Central Banking. Dr. Cheng was the recipient of the JCBE Excellence in Teaching and Advising Award in 2020.
