Student Services and Support
We're here to help you navigate every step of yoru education. Our goal is to be the one-stop-shop for students completing programs of study in Greenville, with support in advising, registration, financial aid, technolgy and student resources. We also coordinate with student service providers in Spartanburg to host office hours in our Greenville office. Call (864) 552-4242 for help and information.
BookstoreStudents may order their books online and have them shipped directly to their homes. Free shipping is available on all orders! Students may also purchase books from the USC Upstate Bookstore on the main campus. |
Career ServicesCareer advising is provided by faculty in professional programs on the USC Upstate Greenville campus. Appointments can be made with career advisors on both the USC Upstate Spartanburg and Greenville campuses. Visit Career Management for more information. |
Carolina CardVisit the Carolina Card website USC Upstate Greenville campus students can upload their photo for the Carolina Card directly into Self-Service Carolina (SSC), the student portal for USC Upstate. To receive tips on how to take and upload your official photo, visit the Administration and Student Support Services office (Suite B1). |
Center for International StudiesThe Center for International Studies (CIS) encourages all students on the USC Upstate Greenville campus to consider study abroad options for semester, summer and year-long programs. In addition, students who have a global perspective are invited to join the International Club and to participate in the “Upstate Global Ambassadors” program, which provides connections with international students at USC Upstate. Counseling ServicesPersonal, career and group counseling as well as LD and ADHD testing is available at the USC Upstate Greenville campus by appointment. Contact Counseling Services at (864) 503-5195 to schedule an appointment. Distance Counseling is available to all currently enrolled USC Upstate students. Disability ServicesThe Office of Disability Services works to ensure access for all USC Upstate students. The Greenville campus can facilitate a request to meet with staff, either here, via webcam or by telephone. Disability services staff prefer to meet face-to-face with students accessing services at least once per academic year. Materials may be sent between the Spartanburg and Greenville campuses via a courier service three days per week, or documents may be scanned and sent via email. Students may contact Greenville staff to access the courier service, for alternative testing accommodations and other accommodations as determined by Disability Services. Enrollment ServicesProspective students are welcome to visit the Administration and Student Support Services Suite during the week or by appointment. The suite is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until noon. USC Upstate Greenville students can also participate in transfer orientation and registration sessions each semester, during which new students receive informationabout student services, meet with advisors and register for classes. Financial AidThe Office of Financial Aid schedules a financial aid counselor to be on the USC Upstate Greenville campus routinely. Staff on the USC Upstate Greenville campus are always willing to facilitate problem-solving for students. Health ServicesHealth Services provides the opportunity for students to get flu shots and TB tests on the USC Upstate Greenville campus. Students can access all health services at the USC Upstate Spartanburg campus. Visit Health Services for more information. Information Technology ServicesThe ITS Helpdesk assists faculty, staff and students in accessing technology. LibraryUSC Upstate Greenville students have access to the F.W. Symmes Library and Media Center at the University Center of Greenville. The library computer stations, printers and study rooms, with access to online catalogs and databases. Students also have access to library services through the main USC Upstate website. Spartan PantryThe Spartan Pantry on the USC Upstate Greenville campus provides food, nutritional information and other basic necessities to USC Upstate Greenville Campus students in need. The pantry is located in the kitchen near the back parking lot entrance (behind the USC Upstate offices). Visit Spartan Pantry for more information. |
Student Government AssociationSGA senators are appointed to represent the USC Upstate Greenville campus. SGA Officers meet monthly in Greenville with student senators to discuss issues and initiatives. Visit Student Government Association for more information. |
Student ActivitiesActivities for students include welcome back events in fall and spring, Fall Festival, Spring Fling, Exam Study Breakers, Lunch with the Chancellor, Grad Fair, Non-Traditional Student Lunch and Learns, Upstate on Main and more. Students are notified of events and how to sign up to participate in them by email. TutoringTutoring for some upper-division courses is available on the USC Upstate Greenville campus either using video conference technology or in person. Virtual Student ServicesStudents at USC Upstate taking online or remote courses receive the same quality support services as those who take face-to-face courses. While USC Upstate’s campus is open to all students, a number of virtual student services are offered specifically so students do not need to trave for educational assistance.
