The Minor in German Studies prepares students for careers working with multinational companies, organizations, schools and communities in the Upstate and throughout the German-speaking world, including Europe, Africa and North and South America. The minor in German Studies will require a minimum of 18 hours, with 6 credit hours of intermediate German (GERM U201 and U202) and 12 hours of upper division, 300-level German courses.
College graduates with languages skills earn an average of 2-3% more than their monolingual classmates.
Pair a German Studies minor with a major in business, criminal justice, communications or STEM fields in order to expand your career readiness and job opportunities in the future.
