The Secondary Education program offers a distinctive educational training experience that will empower you to be that mentor and inspiration to the students you teach.

The program offers students the transformational education and field-based training necessary to teach in grades 9-12. You can choose from a variety of subject specialization areas, including English (B.A.), social studies (B.A.), biology (B.S.), chemistry (B.S.), foreign language (French or Spanish, B.S.), and mathematics (B.S.).

As a secondary education graduate of USC Upstate, you’ll be highly sought after by school districts, related agencies, and organizations throughout the region based on the program’s exceptional reputation and strong connections.
