The best leaders and thinkers today are those who approach their profession with a multidisciplinary perspective—such as a business professional who knows IT or a computer scientist with management skills. The Interdisciplinary Studies program is designed to equip students with just this kind of perspective.
A Flexible Degree Program to Meet the Realities of 21st-Century Careers
The Interdisciplinary Studies program provides a highly flexible experience in which students design a curriculum around their specific academic and professional goals. You may also take advantage of the Three-Plus-One Program, which will enable you to complete 90 hours towards your B.S. or B.A. at Upstate and 30 hours at an approved, accredited professional school that aligns with your future goals, such as Sherman College of Chiropractic.
As a student in this program, you’ll be able to take advantage of Upstate’s exceptional faculty across the broad spectrum of academic disciplines, and upon graduation you’ll have earned a degree that’s valued by employers because it has been designed to meet the realities of today’s complex challenges facing business and industry.
