Professional Development Series

The Sponsored Awards and Research Support (SARS) Professional Development Series is a sequence of workshops designed to familiarize faculty with (i) programs available to support their scholarship activities here at USC Upstate, (ii) finding external funding to further develop their scholarship, (iii) the scope of scholarly activities supported by our office, and (ivii) aspects of the research process, including, but not limited to, grant writing and the proposal review process. The workshop times and topics are listed in the SARS calendar.

Faculty who participate in a workshop will receive a notice of completion that describes the workshop content and the time devoted to participating in the workshop. In addition, we offer a certificate of completion to faculty who attend all workshops and complete assignments associated with each workshop. Thus, participation in the workshop series represents a form of continuing education accessible to faculty.
